Quality Assurance Lead

Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading
the Quality Assurance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products
or services. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and
collaboration with other departments to establish and maintain effective
quality assurance processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
•Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the QA team members.
•Foster a culture of quality within the team and the organisation.
•Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.

Quality Strategy and Planning:
•Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures.
•Define quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects.
•Ensure alignment of QA processes with project goals and industry standards.
•Test Planning and Execution:
•Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans.
•Oversee the execution of test cases, including manual and automated testing.
•Ensure that testing activities are completed within project timelines.

Defect Management and Resolution:
•Establish and maintain a defect tracking and management system.
•Coordinate with development teams to address and resolve defects.
•Ensure effective communication and documentation of defects.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:
•Collect and analyse quality metrics to assess the quality of products or services.
•Generate regular reports on QA performance and areas of improvement.
•Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.

Process Improvement:
•Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•Implement best practices and industry standards in quality assurance.

Resource Management:
•Allocate resources effectively to meet project and organisational goals.
•Evaluate staffing needs and participate in the recruitment of QA team members.

Compliance and Audit:
•Ensure that products or services comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
•Coordinate internal and external audits when necessary.

Training and Development:
•Provide training and professional development opportunities for QA team members.
•Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in QA and testing.

•Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Six Sigma) are a plus.
•Proven experience in quality assurance and testing, with a track record of managing QA teams.
•Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
•Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in specific domains or industries (Finance, software development).
•Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
•Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
